Marc started in the chip seal equipment manufacturing business at Bearcat Mfg. in 1987, helping to develop the first computerized chip spreader in the USA. In 1991, Marc moved to California where he now resides, and went to work for Western States Surfacing. Marc’s primary focus is chip seals, specializing in asphalt rubber. In January 2013, Marc and Greg Reed partnered up and formed American Pavement Systems. Marc is an active member and past President of the Western Regional Association for Pavement Preservation, and dedicates time towards several Caltrans committees, in addition to serving as President for the Rubber Pavements Association. In 2016, Marc received the Lifetime Achievement award from WRAPP for his many years of service in the industry.
